Clark vs Marshall 9-27-19
The Cougar’s JV Football team played at Marshall this past week. WR Kymani Paulino led the offensive scoring attack with three touchdown receptions from QB Keishaun Thompson. The Cougar Defense had another good fight despite the end result as they forced five turnovers. DB Kymani Paulino, DB Eddie Arroyos and DB Jazaiah Douglas each added to their interception total for the season with one a piece. OLB Julian Contreras recovered a Marshall fumble and DL Keivaun Thompson recovered another fumble to keep the Rams from getting into the endzone.
The Clark Freshman A team had a convincing win on Friday 54-0 over Marshall. Goertz, Delgado, Mack, Onyegada, and Espino all had rushing touchdowns for the Cougars. Alexander threw a touchdown pass to Vasquez, and Espino added another score with a punt return for a touchdown. The cougars were dominant up front on both the offensive and defensive lines. Facundo had a sack to help lead the way in the shutout victory. The defense was dominant again in the B team win and helped pitch another shutout 22-0. Sosa had a key tackle for a loss for the defense. The Cougar touchdowns came on 2 passes from Lee to Ware, and Beck added the last score on the ground. The Freshman are off this week, and look to keep it going against Stevens next week.
