Clark vs Brennan 10-18-19




The Cougar’s JV Football team hosted the Brennan Bears on Friday. It was a hard-fought game as the Cougars held the Bears scoreless through three quarters. DL Tyreke Gunthorpe, DL Michael Culberson, DL Micah Nash and DL Paul Martinez kept the Brennan rushing attack under control most of the game. LB Jake Morales forced a fumble which was recovered by DB JP Koch. DB Jazaiah Douglas had several key tackles throughout the game. The defense continues to battle hard and show improvement each game as the season has progressed. Offensively, QB Keishaun Thompson completed passes to FB John Reyes and FB Carson Rogers to keep drives alive while RB Tracy Robinson and RB Trevor Kotzur provided tough running throughout the game.




The Clark Freshman A team continued their district winning streak with a 21-14 win against Brennan on Friday. The cougar’s scores were all on the ground behind solid play from the offensive line.  V. Onyenagada had 2 rushing touchdowns, while C. Goertz added another score on the ground. The defense had a great goal line stand late in the game and were anchored by solid play from J. Turner and B. Gibson. The B team lost to a very talented Brennan team 36-0. The first play of the game N. Lee connected to N. Beck on a long pass, but that drive would stall out and the Cougars would not score the remainder of the game. The defense had solid play from W. Bittle. All sub-varsity teams will play O’Connor this week.
