The Cougar’s JV Football team played the Holmes Huskies this past week at home. Offensively, strong running from RB Trevor Kotzur helped the Cougars march down the field, leading to a touchdown run from RB Tracy Robinson. The JV Defense continued to play with the same passion and energy that they have displayed all year long, holding the Huskies to just 6 points which came late in the 4th Quarter. LB Julian Contreras led the defense with 9 Tackles, 1 Sack, 2 TFLs and 1 Fumble Recovery. Anchoring the other side of the defense was LB Robert Braggs (6 tackles) and DL Tyreke Gunthorpe who had a key sack, stopping the Huskies on a critical 3rd down late in the game. DB JP Koch and DB Jazaiah Douglas led the secondary with big stops in run support and allowing only 3 pass completions throughout the game. The JV football team will finish out the season on Thursday Nov. 7th on the road against the Warren Warriors. Go Cougars!





The Clark Freshman A team continued their district winning streak with a dominating 34-0 victory against Holmes. Touchdowns were made by D. Converse, C. Goertz, and J. Turner-Velasquez. The offensive line dominated behind E. Soefje, O. Carter, and B. Gibson. The defense pitched another shutout and was led by solid play from C. Valenciano. The B-team also shutout Holmes with a 22-0 victory. D. Lynch led the way for the defense in another dominating performance. D. Lee threw a long touchdown pass to Q.Ware, and Lee added another score on the ground. N. Beck had another great catch that set up the last score that was run in by J. Phillips. Both teams look to finish a great season against Warren this week.
